Nick Harwood
Managing director

Nick is a highly skilled business strategist, financial advisor, and CFO. A former partner of a Big 4 practice with over 20 years of experience in financial advisory services and restructuring across London, Hong Kong, and Melbourne/Brisbane. He has worked in industry as a General Manager of strategy and strategic implementation for a private mining services company. He has also undertaken CFO roles on an interim basis and longer term part time basis, providing strategy and leadership to Boards and Executive Teams including managing a complex merger.

He is passionate about helping business owners in the $50M – $200M market achieve their goals, better understand the choices available, and create more value. Understanding the needs and challenges this market faces, Nick established Fountain Group, offering Strategy Design, Performance Improvement, Business Transformation and Restructuring. The Fountain Group can also assist Transaction Management, Interim Management Placements and Advisory Board Committee Roles.

Throughout his career, Nick has had the opportunity to experience many different business situations as well as a diverse range of cultures. He has expertise in analysing business performance, identifying options and solutions, leading to direct and unbiased recommendations and implementing initiatives. Nick has experience working in a variety of industries to assist owners wanting to sell with a tailor made successful outcome.

Emma is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years professional experience working with businesses in London, Melbourne and Brisbane in Big 4, boutique restructuring and advisory practices and at Royal Bank of Scotland.

Emma has a wide range of skills and experience including improvement initiatives, transaction management, and due diligence ensuring the best outcome for business owners.

Emma’s projects have always maintained a strong focus on addressing the real needs of clients, ensuring clear and regular communication and managing the risks for key stakeholders. Emma is passionate about people – managing stakeholder and employee relationships and mentoring colleagues and junior staff to improve their capability and performance.
